Hospital Donor Walls Mean A Lot
The last time I was visiting the hospital I couldn’t help but go through the names on the donor walls. Sure, I had no idea who any of these people were but I wanted to recognize the people who were responsible for funding the place that took care of my family. Without their generosity my family would be a mess right now.It was a beautiful piece, with several donor plaques lined up by year and contribution.
It’s amazing to think how many people have to come together to make all of this good possible. I mean, really, each and every little thing done helps the greater cause. Think of the thousands of lives that are spared per day just because there was enough money for equipment and research.
I, for one, know that seeing all these names up on a wall makes me feel safer in the hands of the hospital. After all, the good staff, the good facilities, and all of the good medical advances are at the well funded locations.
And it’s also just a nice way for the hospital to say, “Thank you for caring and giving back to your community.” It’s the least anybody could possibly do to acknowledge it.
