“Have you reviewed all the documents?”
“Yeah.”
“How much are we leaving to the university?”
“Almost half.”
“Good, Dad would’ve been happy about that.”
“Yeah, he loved that school. He told me that when he was younger and he walked through the halls and gazed at all of the memorial plaques with the faces of the many benefactors that it inspired him to be able to take care of not just his family, but the hundreds of people he’d never meet.”
“Well, I think that wish is going to come true.”
“He was so caring. Always making sure we had everything we needed…”
“And now that we do it’s our turn to help others get what they need – a good education.”
“Yeah. Dad is going to look good on one of those memorial plaques. Or even if they put his name on one of the leaves of the tree of life. I don’t think he’d have cared.”
“As long as he knows he’s helping his brethren, unseen though they may be.”
“I think he can see it. I think he’s looking down on us right now.”
“It’s nice to think that, isn’t it – that from atop a cloud he’s smiling at us?”
