Donor Walls Commemorate Past and Lay Foundations For Future
Donor walls are a great way to express the help that donors give to your community or organization. The permanent feeling that a bronze plaque gives when attached to the wall symbolizes not only the strong relationship that the donor has with the community, but also gives a clear measure of appreciation for future donors. And so when planning a donor wall, you should realize that you are not only commemorating the past, but also laying down the foundations for future donations. There are several questions you should answer when planning your donor wall:
- What determines the names that will go on the donor wall?
- Are all donations acknowledged, regardless of size?
- Do you have space for the amount of people needed on your wall?
People love to be appreciated. By sharing space on the walls of the building, you are giving them an official recognition. But donor walls don’t have to be just about the names!
You can be very creative when choosing a donor wall. Donor plaques can vary in size, shape, and even colors. Look at the space around you. Is there a wall that can be a host to a new kind of donor wall?
Think about this: Donor walls can be works of art as well. Recognizing the help from your donors can make your walls shine!
